Ich überlege mir, den Frontbereich meines Weasels neu zu beschriften. Mich interessiert, was genau diese Zeichen in dieser Originalaufnahme bedeuten und ob und wenn ja - welcher Zusammenhang mit der seitlich augeführten Nummer besteht.

Hoi Dani,
alles hat seine Bedeutung.

1A heisst 1.Armee
146-E heisst 146. Division- Engineer
HQ -27 Heisst HQ-Companie in der Aufkolonisierung das 27.Fahrzeug.

Die USA-Nummer auf der Seite ist gleichbedeutend mit einem Nummerschild wobei die Anfangszahlen auch ein Code bedeuten.
So fangen beim Weasel die ersten Zahlen immer mit 401..... an

Das Rechteckige Zeichen oben Links von vorne ist ein Farbcode was für die Einschiffung benötigt wurde.

Ich gebe dir das nächste mal ein gutes Buch das nur die Beschriftung der Fahrzeuge im 2. Weltkrieg beschreibt.
Auch den Weasel mit der Stern-Grösse,Buchstaben-Grösse Texte u.s.w.
